Teresa is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in working with women who have experienced betrayal in intimate relationships. She utilizes individual and group sessions to help women heal from relational hurts. Her practice office is located in Seattle, Washington.

Teresa has over twenty years of experience as a therapist.   Among her areas of expertise are assisting clients to develop more satisfying relationships, healing from childhood neglect and abuse, and recovering from addictive behaviors.

In addition, Teresa has presented at State and National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Expressive Art Therapy, Parenting, Anger Management, Domestic Partner Violence, Life Hurts God Heals for teens, Lay Counselor Trainings, Life Purpose Coaching, Redeeming Hearts Conference, and many others.

She has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2001.  She earned a Masters Of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1999 from Eastern Washington University.

Additional Training includes 2 years Post Graduate Work in Expressive Art Therapy.

She holds certifications as a Child Mental Health Specialist, and Mental Health Professional in the state of Washington.

She is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist and a Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist through training with Dr. Patrick Carnes www.iitap.com.

Teresa is certified as an EMDR Therapist to help clients process past hurts and trauma by assisting clients to develop new neural networks which provide a way to heal previous trauma. She has trained with Laurel Parnell who created  Attachment-Focused EMDR

Teresa has successful experience working with people who have suffered from depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, abuse & neglect, PTSD, relationship issues, workplace conflict, grief, medical diagnosis adjustment, ADHD, and sexual addictions. She has extensive experience working with people who want to develop more satisfying relationships.

Teresa’s therapeutic approach is to provide safety, support, and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they’re striving for.
